Thanks to the commercial media, the electoral college election system, the lack of Instant Runoff Voting, and a fixed, corporate controlled, two party political system, all issues and all people in this country are polarize; forced into a dualist, red-blue typology. Some of the issues are indeed hyped up because they are particularly easy to fit into a dualist typology. Tests and data that could guide valuable public policy are either ignored or never realized. This dualist typology has been shoved down our throats by the commercial media for decades. Though the above data does correlate somewhat to how people voted, we'll never actually be sure of what votes were cast because of so many electronic voting machines without paper receipts, not to mention we can never know what is in the hearts of the voters since most of them are forced to vote for the candidate they hate least. Many politicians have used census data to redistrict their state so that there can never be democratic elections with a diverse pool of candidates. There is a table showing average income per state, and how they voted, and another showing Red vs. Blue IQs, so if you get off on the idea that poor and stupid people inevitably vote "bad", forward those links to all your friends and go on with your day without giving THE SLIGHTEST FUCKING THOUGHT TO GIVING A COUPLE HOURS A WEEK TO PROMOTING A CANDIDATE YOU LIKE.

As noted above, someone did a list like this comparing state IQ to electoral votes, and it went all over the internet, and even the author claims it might be bullshit. I found it annoying. But no hate for him, I think he has good intentions. The main point is, my powers of fact checking and bringing truth to the people are much more powerful than "pillars" of "journalistic integrity" such as the Economist and St. Petersburg Times, because I have the internet, a video camera, a computer, and some real fucking integrity that isn't ever compromised by trying to sell advertisements. Needless to say, as I stated above, the data is totally irrelevant, and we should all begin to demand that the media (a)stop artificially polarizing every issue and therefore America (b)start to address issues that matter (b)not be afraid to challenge politicians and corporations and (c)put MacGyver back on the air. That shit was so awesome. This was posted as an holier than thou diatribe.
